About the Select Committee on Mental Health
Jurisdiction: The Select Committee is authorized and directed to identify the best methods and current trends in mental health treatment. The Select Committee will also evaluate access to treatment, stigmas, and discrimination and how those factors and other issues affect the finances of the state of California and its local governments.
